DONATE YOUR FOOT TO THE INTERNATIONAL FOOT BANK LAUNCHED BY FRED FOREST AT THE CENTRE POMPIDOU FROM JANUARY 24 TO OCTOBER 14, 2024 WITH NO LIMITATION ON SIZE. (You already give us all the rights of use BY YOUR PARTICIPATION).
The Foot Bank is a participatory action that invites visitors to symbolically take possession of the Internet by "putting their foot down" on it, like an explorer treading on a new land for the first time. With the growing importance of technology in our daily lives, our mobility has been greatly reduced, with less strain on the organs needed for walking. By exhibiting feet, Fred Forest mischievously points out the risk of seeing them relegated to the museum. At the same time, he makes them a precious commodity, at odds with their often trivial and even negative place in the collective imagination.
Call for participation in the BANQUE DU PIED (deodorised on arrival)
HOW TO USE THE FOOT BANK FROM YOUR HOME OR FROM THE CENTRE POMPIDOU, AT THE ENTRANCE TO ITS EXHIBITION, LOCATED ON THE 4TH FLOOR IN THE NEW MEDIA SPACE.

  • Sit down and take off the shoe on your right foot. Place your bare foot on a sheet of A4 paper and draw the outline of its imprint.
  • Add your first name or pseudonym (never your name), your country and town of origin in capital letters.
  • Using your preferred technique, create your work inside the foot without going beyond the imprint: pen, felt-tip pen, watercolour, wash, paint, photography, digital practices, collages, etc. All techniques are accepted.
  • Once your creation is complete, scan it or take a photo of it with your smartphone and send your scan or photo by email to the following address: labanquedupied@centrepompidou.fr
  • Your photo will then appear on the screen of your smartphone or computer at the same time as a large wall of images on the walls of the Centre Pompidou in the Fred Forest exhibition.
  • As you wait patiently to see your entry scroll past, along with all the others, you can log on to La Banque du pied at any time by clicking on this link: https://flockler.embed.codes/j59zej

DON'T FORGET TO PASS ON AND SHARE THIS OPPORTUNITY WITH YOUR FRIENDS NEAR YOU AND ALL OVER THE WORLD... THEY'LL HAVE THE SATISFACTION OF SEEING THEIR WORK EXHIBITED AT THE SAME TIME AT THE CENTRE POMPIDOU.
You are reminded that your participation constitutes a gift that you are making to the artist, which henceforth constitutes his full property, which he undertakes, however, never to sell for personal profit.

A video is better than a long explanation: the change of cycle that goes through the foot to lead to the hominization of human nature.

News 2024 03/04

With his new exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, Fred Forest, a young artist just 90 years old... rejects the institutional and market-driven contemporary art of the last twenty years, and announces a paradigm and cycle shift in our societies, based on meaning, ethics and the use of the tools of our modernity. See for yourself by taking a look at his exhibition!

And he is launching an international action-network under the name of La Banque du pied – the only bank in the world that is not interested in your money, but in this essential organ of your body that has enabled human beings to move into another cycle...

IN THE NORMALIZED, HUMMING LANDSCAPE OF UNOFFICIAL CONTEMPORARY ART CRITICISM, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR A VOICE TO BE HEARD FOR AGES, WITHOUT REALLY BELIEVING IN IT...

AT LAST, THAT VOICE HAS BEEN HEARD, AND I APPLAUD IT WITH BOTH HANDS!

Thanks to Julie Chaizemartin, who alone has the merit and the courage to publish this luminous and meaningful article in TRANSFUGE magazine and on social networks. We'll have the chance to talk about it again when the shock it caused for many has subsided...

INTERVENTION BY FRED FOREST WITH FRANCOIS SOULAGES, PETITE SALLE, SUNDAY 4 FEBRUARY 2024 AT THE CENTRE POMPIDOU Forum -1

Dear friends of social networks. Fred Forest is inviting you via social networks to meet him on Sunday 4 February from 2.30pm (the hall will be open from 2.45pm), and is once again keeping the promises he made to you a week ago. Please be on time because, as you know, the hall is not huge and latecomers risk being left outside. Please note that the auditorium seats only 158, that admission is free and that neither the artist, who is behind this initiative, nor François Soulages, his guest, will receive any payment from the institution for this performance.

Fred Forest hereby makes another promise to you: with your support, he will change many things in contemporary art and the almost exclusive way in which it is run by artists from the upper echelons of the profession.

"La Banque du pied" (The foot Bank): exhibit with Fred Forest at the Centre Pompidou until march 23, 2024 with our two partners the Centre Pompidou and the Whitebox in New-York

The news of the day is obviously pedestrian, with the launch of the Banque du pied (foot bank), which will enable small and large savers alike to capitalize on the number of feet per inhabitant.

GOOD ADVICE FROM TRADER FRED FOREST You'll get the best returns on your foot capital by using leverage to hold a given position in a foot financial market, while immobilizing only a fraction of the capital required. For example, with 100 feet of leverage, you'll be able to get a hundred times more exposure at the Centre Pompidou than the average person with 60 feet of leverage. But the fact that your chances of seeing your work exhibited at the Centre Pompidou increase according to the number of entries you make, which are not limited, is simply a mathematical truism. But beware of joining the blacklist reserved for the clever ones who will be ruthlessly excluded by our AI moderators for repeatedly sending us the same work.

By multiplying your feet on the network in this way, you multiply your potential gains, but also your losses if the market reacts against you. In this example, if the market loses 1%, your position will be worth only 5,940 feet, and your losses will amount to 60 pedestrian portions - the amount of your initial investment.

As a reminder, as soon as your footprint is filled in by your overactive imagination, you take a photo of it with your smartphone and send it to us at the Centre Pompidou at the following address: labanquedupied@centrepompidou.fr  Finally, you log on to: https://flockler.embed.codes/j59zej

Then you stare at your screens until your entry is prominently displayed on the Centre Pompidou's wall. Then you can tell your friends: Today I had my first exhibition at the Centre Pompidou!

LONG BIOGRAPHY OF FRED FOREST

Fred Forest has a special place in contemporary art. Both by his personality and by his pioneering practices which mark his work. He is mainly known today for having used one by one most of the communication media that have appeared over the last fifty years. He is co-founder of three artistic movements: those of sociological art, the aesthetics of communication and ethics in art.

He represented France at the 12th São Paulo Biennale (Communication Prize) in 1973, at the 37th Venice Biennale in 1976 and at Documenta 6 in Kassel in 1977.
