Invited by the Soros Cultural Centre for Contemporary Art in Bucharest, Fred Forest had the opportunity to develop his theories on sociological art and the aesthetics of communication, which attracted the attention of an audience mainly made up of artists.

As usual, in order not to remain confined within a framework reserved strictly speaking for rather traditional art, and with the help of an art critic with whom he had made friends, he kept himself informed about the dominant media covering Romania. With the latter acting as his translator, he made an appointment with the presenter of the ABC television news programme to appear on her programme two days later... Luckily, she had a little knowledge of French, which facilitated their exchange. Luckily, she had a few bits of French to share with him, so at the end of the programme he did his now classic viewer photo with a few variations!
